Sammi Zhang grew up in Montreal, Canada, but has since called Toronto home. After graduating from Sheridan College’s Animation Program, she’s spent the last five years translating scripts to visual wonder for television. Her short film, Long-Distance, won the TAAFI Filmmaker award and was featured on CBC’s Absolutely Canadian. But her passion for visual storytelling traces back to a childhood spent at the library combing through picture books and comics. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her wandering the streets of Toronto in search of silly moments to draw and cats to pet.
