Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Garrett Hines is an author, actor, and musician. He attended Graduate School at Southeastern Louisiana University. While in college, Garrett fully realized his love for storytelling and performing when he wrote his one-man stage plays Heavy Metal Open Mic Night and Ghosts, which won him The John V. Coumes Memorial Scholarship for the Arts. His literary publications include poetry in the journals Gambit, The Pick, Louisiana Road Trips, and Crack The Spine. Garrett was also a panelist at the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival.

He has been a finalist in a number of competitions for his short screenplays and his original songs have appeared in various feature films.
