Deena ElGenaidi writes about arts, identity, and pop culture for a number of publications including in Nylon, MTV News, Oprah Magazine, Longreads, Catapult, and more. Deena also wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning comedy web series Codependent. She holds her MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers University-Camden and her MA in English from Villanova University. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her cat, Sasha.
