Song Ebbesen was born and raised in Alaska to a Thai mother and Norwegian father, where she surely built igloos and rode polar bears to school. After retiring from her athletic career, she attended Drama Centre London to train as a director, but later returned to the solitude of books for storytelling and has never been able to escape. Song now lives in Connecticut with her partner and their dog, Sir Basel.
